Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz and Brockus Project Dance are proud to present LADF 2018 to celebrate the Women’s History Month with the Women Rising performances, featuring contemporary dance through the lens of female choreographers. This year festival will present a sample of 10 of LA’s top female leading companies showcase work with 5 different companies each evening. These companies are award winning, critically acclaimed companies.

The Los Angeles Dance Festival is here to connect the community to high quality affordable dance concerts. This event is committed to fostering and promoting the vibrant art of dance that is being created in our hometown.

The sixth edition of LADF will also explore and present innovative and multicultural dance work to celebrate, develop, and promote women’s choreographer. LADF is taking place in March this year to honor Women's History Month, an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.

In addition to the stage performances, there will be dance related artwork in the plaza and a site-specific work during intermission.

A “Service to the Field Award” will be given each night honoring a leader who has changed the landscape of dance in Los Angeles. Recipients of the awards are:

Lula Washington- choreographer, company and studio founder who has influenced the careers of large number of artists active in LA

Renae Niles- has worked as a dancer, company manager, grant funder, theater presenter and fundraiser – all advancing dance in LA

Ann Haskins- a tireless advocate who for decades has been promoting LA dance companies to help connect audiences and dance makers
